Fantastic shots Chris - I've never been to Coningsby... Looks a good place to get views, is it?
Cheers.

Coningsby has always been a favourite place of mine. There's a small car park area with a good view of the main apron, and anything outside BBMF hangar. Then the main car park is near the end of the runway. Plus you're only a few mins from Cranwell and Waddington.
Hoping the Indian Su-35 detachment still happens soon, in which case I need to find time to get up there again!

For those that are planning on going to RAF Coningsby, these are the viewing locations that I have used Small layby 1 is next to the BBMF hangar MK356 by Chris Hall, on Flickr and also gives good views across the main apron Typhoons by Chris Hall, on Flickr The Visitors carpark normally has a burger van for food and drink, but for photography you are shooting into the sun ZK029 by Chris Hall, on Flickr The mound has parking for about a dozon cars and is the best location for photography when 07 is in use ZJ912 by Chris Hall, on Flickr ZJ920 by Chris Hall, on Flickr photo location on Reedhan Lane is a good spot for touch down shots when 25 is in use, but stepladders are required Small layby 2 is the best spot when 25 is in use, again small steps are required ZK379 by Chris Hall, on Flickr 91-0301 by Chris Hall, on Flickr and finally the viewing area north of the runway, steps are required and you are shooting into the sun ZJ919 by Chris Hall, on Flickr hope that helps those that have not yet been
