Great shots zz, is that the "real" WB188 Hunter? I know there are a few bearing that reg including the one in the yard at Melksham just down the road from here.

Yes it's the real WB188. The reason there are so many painted as this, is that it was the prototype and also the world air speed record holder in 1953.
The Meteor EE549 was also a previous air speed record holder in 1946, flying from Tangmere.

Great pic's zz, need a few of those at Tangmere- the Lightning is showing as XR753 in the MAM it is the 2014 one though. Happy Days Bob

Great little museum at Tangmere I visited it in August last year, only criticism is everything is crammed in making photography a little difficult. Also if you had a little time you can walk round what is left of the old RAF airfield
