Hi Guys,
This request is definitely 'Dave Basing' territory... But, I'm gradually wading through my logs in order to get them all in ADU and came across this entry with a missing reg..
If anyone, especially you Dave, can provide a reg - I'd be really grateful.
Cheers.

I saw 2 at Heathrow over the years, 47595 MM62012 and 47600 MM62013, but 62013 was W/off 08.FEB.99, so it wasn't that one. Whether that helps or hinders, I don't know . . .

Sorry for the delay Bill, was mesmerised by the Australian first innings! Your DC9 was MM62012.
Now if anyone has Northolt movements for when I was taken down the road to see the Olympic Games teams depart after the 1948 Olympics...

Apologies, missed Captain Bob's earlier post which would have made it clear that they only had one left on your date after the ground collision with an IL96 at Moscow Vnukovo resulted in the sister ship being broken up

Cheers Dave & Bob,
Much appreciated chaps - well it's filled a ? in the log and, seeing that I had only seen MM62013 (from home) on 03/09/88, means I've potted it...
Thank you gentlemen - that's much appreciated.
It's amazing what you can find out on this forum of ours...

If I ever come across anything resembling that date, time and venue - I'll be sure to grab it for you.... Cheers. Bill

Thanks Bill. I guess that the absence of a log for that far off day was due to a shortage of quill pens and/or the fact that I was only 8 months old. My parents used to tell me that they would regularly take me to play in the sand pit in the then viewing area at Heathrow which was separated from the action by just a rope! Why didn't they take any pictures of me building sandcastles in front of a Languedoc or similar??

Why didn't they take any pictures of me building sandcastles in front of a Languedoc or similar?? Hi Dave, Would you have counted it though!!! Lol... I'll be 61 later this month and my mum (mainly) used to take me to LAP all the time to watch the planes... We used to sit for hours on the deck of the Queen's Building, then she'd take me for lunch in the restaurant with the big glass windows overlooking the tarmac - I'd have a plate of fish and chips (I think) and then we'd get the 91b bus back to Fulham.... That's what got me started... But my logs only go back as far as 1966 (ish) but I'm on my 41st log... But trying to get them all into ADU is a bit of a challenge - I've put in over 43k so far... But still got loads to go... Happy days... And thanks once again mate. Bill

Deano,
You've posted something at last.... Congratulations....
Well, at the moment, the challenge is to get off this sun lounger to grab an ice cold cocktail... It's 34 degrees (outside) and the pool is trying to tempt me in....
We (should read I) did the Royal Malaysian Air Force museum this morning... Thanks to Dave Basings advice (as usual Dave, spot on and excellent advice) also to Jeff and Graham.... How often do you pot a Twin Pioneer, Dove, Heron, Chipmunk, Pioneer, Caribou and several other exotics.... Really neat place....
Tomorrow hope to have 2-3 hours at KUL on route to Kota Kinabalu... Have got photos on iPad and will try to download later...
Wife has just gone into pool and she wants me to join her.... Better go...
Its a hard life boys....
Later.
Bill
