Great shots Martin. WW was a "local" field for me as a very young spotter growing up in Reading. It holds really pleasant memories, especially of lots of RAF Chipmunks if I recall.

Used to work at the end of the runway in an old building used as a network center, many moons ago.. carters steam fair used to winter out side the office window in a compound.. the airshow was great from the roof..

Was in a local ATC squadron and flew a number air experience flights in the Chipmunks from White Waltham.
Didn't spot in those days so no idea of the registrations.... Hey Ho

Also noteworthy during that period was (reportedly) Douglas Bader's aircraft G-APUB - a personalised reg even in those days?
