Hello everybody!! I'm Kevin Withers, brother of Ken, and just to confuse things, he's also joined this group!! I maintain that I'm the good looking one though!!. On the aviation front, my preference is military aviation, but I also like airliners, biz jets and twins. I look forward to contributing to this site, though I don't use Flickr for my photos so I have no idea if that causes an issue with uploading any photos.

Welcome to the fold Kev, great to have you join us here. No issue with the Flickr thing, if there's anything you'd like uploading here, email it to me at geb56@gmx.com and I can upload to my Flickr and then copy across here, with due credit to you as the photographer naturally.

That sounds about right Dave, yes. I got to know Keith Patrick first as his gran lived opposite us in Elgar Road and we often had a kick around on the vast field behind the little industrial estate in Elgar Rd that we kids all called "The Farm". Through Keith, I got to know Keith H and through him, I got to know you. All seems a very long time ago.

Hello Everyone- Mr Blue Sky here- I’m back !!! Firstly can I thank Graham and the rest of the team for giving me the opportunity of returning to this excellent forum, which I left nearly three years ago, for what I can only say was my own fault. They say you only miss something when its gone, and I have missed being a member of AFA. I realise that I upset a fair few of members by deleting all my posts, and leaving them virtually talking to themselves on various conversations- I suppose it was like reading a 300 page book and pages 150, 200 and 222 were missing. Can I apologise to each and everyone of those members effected for my behaviour. Those days are now behind me, and I am down as Mr Blue Sky and will stay as same. The only thing that may change every now and again could be my Avatar. Anyway a bit about myself- I am 69 years of age, hitting the big 70 in April, Still working part-time, but will be finishing in a year’s time. My hobbies are obviously Aircraft Spotting- have been spotting since late 1962. I collect all kinds of aircraft, Civil, Military etc- I also still like getting my various registers each year and spending hours on the back kitchen table marking in the same. I am a big football fan, supporting my beloved Blues – Everton FC whom I have been a Season Ticket Holder of since 1966- albeit the ticket has not been used during the current pandemic- hopefully next season. That’s about it really- good to be back- and hopefully I will be able to bring something to the forum. Stay Safe Bob

Stay Safe Bob Hello Bob, Good to have you back mate and looking forward to see you rejoining AFA. We’ve added a few new items, one that I think you’ll enjoy is ‘this day in history’ where we post our old logs for each day, as it arrives. Takes a while to get into the groove but Howard from Gatwick seems to have spotted practically every single day of his entire life - god bless you Howard, some great pots amongst your’s mate. Anyway, great to have you back on board, Bob. If you need anything just drop me a PM. All the best. Bill

Great to have you back with us Bob, what's done is done and that's all there is to it. As Bill says, there are one or two new sections here but essentially, it's still the AFA you are familiar with. For a chap who began spotting in 1962 you must have some great memories and logs so please do feel free to share them with us once you've settled in....;0)

Bill, Graham, Dylan, Dave, Jeff and Bob- thanks for your kind words, good to be back. Dave- will definitely meet up again, albeit does not look currently very promising, but fingers crossed maybe Popham, failing that Kemble for Aero-Expo. Dylan- that was an unexpected win against Wolves, especially with the side we started with- but Carlo had a plan and it worked. Up the Toffees and stay safe everyone. Bob
