Morning Graham, well done, it's fine!! I think you just need to select a larger size when you have the "share" options in front of you on your Flickr pages. According to the "properties" of your photo ( ascertained by right clicking it), it says the photo is 200 x 141 pixels, so just choose a larger size from the drop down choice. I usually go for "medium 800 x 534". Welcome to the photo club! There were no sizing options available to me as it was straight from the ipad photo roll. The size should have been 1280 x 905, about 1meg so lord alone knows how or why it was further compressed. Proper PC has not been switched on for 7 days so I do not know if I can upload direct from the hard drive or external hard drive yet. I do not host/post my photos on the net any longer as I got well teed off with the inanities of Anet; Runway 30 became a pain and fotopic simply failed! My only photos are some local ones from Kemble and Staverton, hosted by Dave Haines and his View From the Cafe site..thus not under my control.

You can upload direct from your PC as long as the shots are contained within a folder Graham, it's a slightly different process but it is covered in the link I posted yesterday if you scroll down a bit. My knowledge of I-pads is zero I'm afraid.

Yes....Those were the instructions I followed, broadly...I think there was a tiny step missing but that is what I followed. I suspect that there is an interface issue twixt the apple platform and proboards.
I will persevere.

Problem we have Graham is that Proboards impose a very small "free" limit on us for uploads that aren't already stored on a third party storage site such as Flickr, Photobucket and the others. Any photos uploaded here to AFA that are on one of those sites do not count towards our limit as they are hosted by those sites but photos that come direct from a folder on anyone's PC, I-pad, Mac or whatever do count. Once we reach that limit we have to cough up a not inconsiderable sum to extend our "free" limit. It's Proboards' way of making a bit of bunce and there's no way around it other than paying.

Fair enough. In that case, I will not bother with any more attempts to upload.

We certainly don't want to deter anyone from showing their photos Graham, what you could do is to email your favoured shots to me or Jeff and we can place them onto Flickr and then upload them on your behalf with all due credit to you naturally.

Thanks for the offer, Graham. I dont want my own ineptitude or bigotry re photo hosting sites to cause unnecessary additional work. I think you already have a good supply of decent pics from guys who do things properly. But..thanks anyway.

Well, if you have a change of mind just send us some shots and I'm sure we can do a banner shot or two for you...;0)
