And one for me too, 9V-SWZ 777 on LHR approach on its first visit. Thanks for the heads up Dockwell, are you Smudger98 who did LHR on the FAB proboards?

Quick visit to East Midlands revealed a couple of AN-26s an AN12 and a Saudi Air Force Herc. Not too shabby considering it's usually famous for cargo flights later in the day.

Missed N349UP on Sunday, but it redeemed itself this evening - has just gone overhead routing PHL-CGN strobing nicely.

Hi Jerry The Kenyan today is 5Y-KZC, if your interested... I am... Cheers. Bill Thanks Bill, it's my last one, should go right overhead on departure around 19.30. Will be my third 787 of the day, saw C-GHQQ on LHR 09 approach, should see G-VOOH likewise (sorry Graham will be too far north for you). (edit) Just realised with LHR using 09 I'll be very lucky to see the Kenyan!

Hi Guys,
Just got back from LHR - couldn't resist the temptation of potting 3 B787's in one day, with a 4th just crossing the North Sea (VT-ANS) heading for LHR... Log looked like this;
EI-UNK B737 Transaero G-EZUP A320 Easyjet (OTT) B-KPK B777 Cathay D-AIUG A320 Lufthansa Global 6000 went OTT at 13.54 heading west with a Sqwark of 4405 - did anyone ID it? OH-BLM B717 Blue 1 (Nice to see a DC-9 in town again, was on SAS flight) G-VOOH B787 Virgin C-GHQQ B787 Air Canada 5Y-KZC B787 Kenya Airways PH-EZX EMB190 KLM (Star Alliance scheme) T7-MRD A320 MEA (Star Alliance scheme) A6-EEN A380 Emirates...
I was accompanied by our latest member; Lynda... What a cracking bit of crumpet that is!!! AKA: Viv Barton...
Also met Sean (quite by accident) AKA Osprey 66, who with his son are going to Amsterdam this evening for a weekend's spotting with Aeroprint tours, £50!!! How bad is that. He's promised to post his log on return....
Cheers lads, just want to try and see the Air India now - that would be a cracking day!!

Your GLEX was N2FE. I saw it too, but only a scrape (saw it before as N34U).

That's a cracking haul there Bill. Surprised though that you could keep your mind on the planes what with that attractive young lady by your side. If "Lynda" wants to change her user name, I'm pretty sure I can do that without her having to re-register.

Yes, Aeroprints do a few of these. I was due to go to Brussels a couple of weeks ago, but they cancelled a few days before departure. Bit naughty!
However, they are good value if you can manage a sleepless night before you get there! Brussels would have been good as you can sit in Wingtips, but Amsterdam would be too cold for my old bones at this time of year. Will do a Flybe later!

Just made my third 787 of the day, 5Y-KZC on LHR departure. Earlier saw C-GHQQ and G-VOOH on approach. Also made C-GIIT CL.605 OTT.
I agree PlaneFinder is quite impressive. I had relied on FR24 for years, and only downloaded the PlaneFinder app to my I-pad a couple of weeks ago. As you say it shows quite a few military (though I keep missing them!), many more bizjets with registrations than FR24, and the plane icons are more realistic so one can pick out the more interesting ones easily. Also the playback facility is more user-friendly and reliable. I have noticed however that some aircraft positions on PlaneFinder can be way out.

Same here Bob, nowhere near as cold last night but now have fog as an added bonus. Not going to see anything until it lifts which "hopefully" will reveal some blue.
EDIT - what a difference 20 mins can make, fog gone, clear blue and two straight in the book, B738 EI-FIA descending into Bristol from Luqa and B739 TC-JYF heading west high up routing Istanbul - Dublin

Has brightened up here after a dull start. Took my eye off the ball again, missed brand new Lufthansa A321 D-AIDX (delivered on Friday) heading for Dublin, will look out for it on the way back. Nothing in the book yet today.
