It seems like the "Spotters Weekend" is on this weekend,26th and 27th September. There does not seem to be anything about it on their website though.

Filair- I went earlier this year and rang them before I went to confirm it was on. Well worth the trip to see the stuff out back and in the containers. Bob

Filair- found this on the friends of the helicopter museum site- www.hmfriends.org.uk/fixtures2002.htmSeptember 26th & 27th 2015 Saturday & Sunday "Behind the Scenes" Spotters Weekend Meet in the café, on either day, for guided tours at 11.00 am, 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm
I would still give them a ring though to save any journeys Bob

Well worth it lads, I did the trip about 4-5 years ago and there's loads of stuff in storage that never sees the light of day.

hi, I visited this excellent museum on 27/4/11 and the 4 Skeeter pods plus some 7 booms were in the restoration area, I was told they were only there for a few hours while staff moved the container's contents about. Of the pods-masking tape had XL767 on one, XN345 on another, I read XM557 on a c/n plate on the ledge beneath the glazing, the 4th's tape was XYZ? after posts on an other website I believe the XYZ pod is either XM530 or XL736 with 736 being my favourite. If anyone can ask the question please, if you get to see these 4 pods...
thanks and regards, dave...

The Skeeters at Weston, according to their literature are,XL811,XL767,XL736,XM557 and XN345. XL811 is on display ,XL767 is due to go to Poland. Only one of the stored ones was seen,in a container (sorry, not sure which one)
Very few people on the guided tour while I was there.

First Skeeter I ever saw was XM555 on a carnival float in Basingstoke when I couldn't have been more than 10 or 11.
