Lovely shots Jeff. Is her grounding solely due to money? Maybe a wealthy benefactor might appear yet, who knows, we can only hope.

The Vulcan (My Story)
Well when I say my story...more my families.....only short but sort of sums up my feelings on todays farewell flight.
Back in the 50s when my Mum and Dad first started courting each year they would cycle from Kilburn and Ealing respectively to the home of British Aviation every year for the Farnborough Airshow. Photos on box brownies were taken, memories were made. Their recollections of seeing the Vulcan, an unmistakable new shape, for the first time were passed down to me at an early age, probably setting me on my path to an Aviation Enthusiast! 63 years on and witnessing what will probably be my last sight of the Vulcan in the air its sort of come full circle.....so thanks Mum and Dad...was thinking of you today

....and to think Jeff that the Vulcan took to the skies just eight years after the end of WW11. Compared to what had gone before her, it must have seemed like something out of a sci-fi comic.
