I suppose we can only estimate what that lot are worth Jeff, particularly the McLaren.
Love the Camaro Christoff!
The meatiest car I've ever owned was a Rover 3.5 V8 SDi. I bought it very cheap from a mate who was self employed and had to find quick cash for a long overdue payment to the taxman so I bought it off him for his asking price of £500, bearing in mind this was back in 1982 I think. It had a JPS black & gold colour scheme and had been tuned way beyond the performance of a regular 3.5. I owned that car for about two years then one day, the first missus was driving it to Chippenham when she rang me from a phone box to say that " it's just gone bang and now won't start". Me and a mate who was a mechanic took his car over to where she was to discover it had chucked the cam belts and had effectively wrecked the engine. Next stop the scrappies....;0(

Thanks Graham.. I think the Ferrari is a 250GT Tour de france, a 250GTO sold in 2014 for £22,843,633 in California, so I think that Ferrari is just outside my christmas bonus this year!!!

We could always organise a whip round Christoff!
I have shots from a couple of car museums somewhere, Haynes at Sparkford and a much lesser well known one in Calne, the Atwell-Wilson museum

The Rover in the background doesnt look to shabby either Christoff :-) Cheers Jeff, it was a 1983 SD1 2600 5 speed manual, and the gear box blew up on the M3 one day, went on to buy another SD1 2600S 5 speed manual from a dealer not far from Blackbuse, It had just about powered eveything, was a lot of car for not much money, with a design that was years ahead of it's time..

The Evoque is I guess wrapped Jeff, if you've got the money you can have what you like
The Mercedes dealer near me has a 'chrome' wrapped & a 'blue chrome' wrapped Smart Car.
I've seen quite a few cars with Matt Black schemes on the road recently, the local Lotus dealer has had an example on the forecourt
I got the chance to go round the impressive McClaren car factory recently, they were busy with a large number of lefthanders on the line, well worth a visit if you ever get the chance
Regards
John

Hi John, the RR is wrapped but its wrapped to conceal the shape not as a finished product, you can see the bottom of the door is peeling off and the are some patches around the fuel cap......like I said its not like its a new model, unless Im missing something, so not sure why they tried the camoflage technique normally usaed for new models on test drives on public roads

Have looked at other images of the Evoque and it looks like this one has a longer body/wheel base,as the gap between the filler cap and rear light lens seems to be greater than production models.

Both passed away and the collection was sold as a going concern and really needs another visit.

A friend at JLR has confirmed the Range Rover is not quite what it seems its an Evoque body but its not an Evoque underneath, a tactic used by quite a few manufacturers when testing mechanicals. Living in JLR country as I now do there are plenty of weird and wonderful disguised vehicles seen on the roads here.

Range Rover....not sure why Range Rover have camoflaged it as it looks like a nbormal model to me ! P1030841 by Eelmoor Farnborough, on Flickr I work at JLR Halewood and can assure you that this is not an Evoque but I cannot tell you what it really is . The wrap is one of several that are used on new models

Again something a bit different.....this is based on the original Fiat 500 but stripped down to make as light as possible, even down to the use of wicker chairs...the reason being they were used on Yachts (big ones I assume...lol) and could be man-handled off by the burley crew so the owner could drive to one of the Monte Carlo rearaurants one assumes !
