According to Finnish media, the Finnish Aviation Museum is negotiating with the Kenyans to get the allegedly oldest DC-9-10(5Y-XXA) in regular service to the museum. Manufactured in 1965, the aircraft flew in AY colors between 1971-83(OH-LYD), hence the interest.

According to my files, OH-LYD was flying with British Midland for a while, presumably before they got their own fleet of DC9s

Yes it did, although by my time with BM the OH DC-9s had been replaced by the bigger 32 series G- reg models, we did however have some Nordic 737s on fleet, great airline to work for with lots of different aircraft types to play with
