Has anyone else suffered this today? Came downstairs this morning to find there had been a large W10 update on my PC and now PP refuses to open or start. I get a dialogue box telling me " you are on day 58 of a 21 day free trial, do you wish to register PP to keep using it?" so I filled in my details, emailed it to COAA and the registration number they've sent back doesn't work.
I've tried uninstalling PP and then reinstalling it, makes no different, it keeps telling me I need to regaister even though I have been a master user for two years.
I've emailed COAA but as of yet, had had no response.

After trying to decode emails from COAA it seems the only way around this is to firstly uninstall the programme, then reinstall it. Then go through the registration process again, as according to COAA, .........
<<The Windows update has changed the fingerprint of the PC. That causes the serial number to change.
With a new serial number the old registration number is no longer valid.
Follow the registration procedure to generate a new registration number and then when you have entered the new registration number, do the same for the authentication code.>>
So, running again but with totally new serial number, registration number and authentication code.

hi, I'm shying away from W10, had enough trouble with my new desktop computer having W8! missing loads from W7hp which I've still got on my laptop. Its ok if you want touch screens and other mod cons but leave basics alone for me, anyway good luck...
regards, dave...(dinosaur)

Cheers Dave, it's all sorted out now and I have to say that this has been the first issue I've had with W10, other than this, I've been very pleased with it.
