Gents, Bill asked whether we could place a direct link to Peter's Blackbushe forum on there so we have added that to the top navigation bar. We have also added links to both Flight Radar 24 and Plane Finder. Both are centred around the southeast but once on the pages, simply toggle to the area of the country where you'd like to watch.
If there are any other links you'd like, e.g. airframes.com or GAS, etc, etc then just shout

I like the idea of links to the other 2 new sites.
Are they providing links to this site? If not maybe we could request that ?

Peter is linking us on the Blackbushe site, we did approach the other site a few weeks back saying as we are all interested in the same thing Ie: Aviation perhaps we could work together without the animosity of the past but were told "let the best forum win" !

Really Jeff, I didn't know that. Each to their own naturally but that's a peculiar attitude to have. It's not a competition after all.

Really Jeff, I didn't know that. Each to their own naturally but that's a peculiar attitude to have. It's not a competition after all. It doesn't HAVE to be reciprocal. Just do it, and make them feel bad! It's a good site that is predominantly Farnborough, but is basically for the biz-jet community.

I think this harks back to the days of the former Farnborough owner and the Farnborough Email list owner who didnt see eye to eye anyway, I personally dont have any problems linking them at the top, perhaps another try is worth a go to see how they feel about it...I will leave it to you to make contact ...lol

That's a shame they feel that way, there's no reason why both sites can't succeed alongside each other.
But I agree, provide a link and hopefully they'll see it doesn't have to be a competition!

To be fair it was 2 days after the old Forum imploded on itself, dont think any of the new forums had a direction thay were aiming for at the time !

Hi Smudger, Yes that is a pain, clicking the back button to get back to the forum is the only way round it at the moment, will look into it though!

I've no problem at all with adding a link to their site, it would provide the additional Farnborough info that we don't necessarily cover here, if they don't wish to reciprocate then that's their call. But if they're not seemingly interested in sharing, co=operating or whatever we call it, would they object to that link? I know those of us who want to access the new Farnborough site can do so anyway.

Ive just added an FR24 MLAT only tab to the Navigation bar, can someone confirm this is what does indeed open when you click on it, should be grey in colour as opposed to the normal blue !

Thank you Derrick, in this case the credit goes to Jeff, our "behind-the-scenes" forum master!! He and I agreed what should be added but he's the brains behind the operation.
