January was a lazy month for me, not going anywhere. My first trip out was on the 8th February to Luton and a nice bright but very cold day. Best of the day at Luton for me was this brightly coloured Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign + N990H by Chris Hall, on Flickr The full set of photos can be seen on my Airport-Data gallery Luton 08/02/15Next was a quick look at Cranfield, this place gets quieter everytime I visit but it was a chance to photograph the stored BAe 146's CRANFIELD_S0048012 by Chris Hall, on Flickr Full set at Cranfield 08/02/15 On the way home we called in to Birmingham as it always comes up with something surprising and it didnt disappoint with former Monarch Airbus A320-214 G-ZBAA now painted in Frontier colours N228FR by Chris Hall, on Flickr Full set at Birmingham 08/02/15The 14th of Feb and it was a tour of the factory at BAe Warton. Unfortunatly photography is forbidden on site, but still fasinating to walk round the production lines and flight line hangars. While we were in the area we called into Blackpool. Access was gained to several of the hangars and it was nice to see G-BVGI Pereira Osprey II which has been stored in the mantainance hangar for several years. Now in the main Westair hangar full set at Blackpool 14/02/15It was then onto the small farm strip at Pilling-Brook Farm. A request at the farm house to have a look around was granted, only two hangers here are accessable, the other two are always locked up. New for me was Quad City Challenger II G-MYFH Full set at Brook Farm 14/02/15A few miles down the road and we called in at Rossall Field, this can be a strange place but this time we were lucky and granted acces into the main hangar. The only new one here for me was G-OJLH, Team Mini-Max 91 full set at Rossall Field 14/02/15Next stop was St Michael's. Another microlight site I have visited several times but never seen anything, today was another lucky day as a brand new P&M Aviation Quik Lite G-CIMH had just completed it first flight. This is a stange place as there are over 40 based but I very rarely see anything here. 28th Feb and it was a small road trip around the Midlands calling in at Coventry and seeing BAe-125-800B M-DSML M-DSML by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set Coventry 28/02/15Wellesbourne Mountford and a visit to their superb cafe was next, due to the poor weather only saw one aircraft flying G-BOMS Cessna 172N went up for a local flight G-BOMS_S0318053 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Wellesbourne Mountford 28/02/15Bidford was next and a new one for me was this very nice Bellanca 8GCBC G-BGGD G-BGGD by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Bidford 28/02/15Last stop of the day was Birmingham and the best one here was AIR X Charter Boeing 737-505 9H-OME 9H-OME by Chris Hall, on Flickr also seen of intrest were Enter Air Boeing 737-4Q8 SP-ENA, West Air Swedens new Boeing 767-232/F N747AX and D-AILF Lufthansa Airbus A319-114 in Star Alliance scheme. full set at Birmingham 28/02/15And that was the last outing for February, March will follow soon

First trip during March was down to Heathrow, the main reason was to photograph the Etihad A380 which had recently started flights into EGLL A6-APA by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Heathrow 07/03/15On the way home from Heathrow we called in at Booker which was very active with GA, Gliders and helicopters, access was granted to go airside and to look into the hangars. The highlight here was seeing Supermarine 502 Spitfire TR.8 (LF.VIIIc) G-AIDN tucked away at the back of the PPS hangar at Booker but not in a position to get a good photo. But being airside gives good photo opportunities with RW23 in use. G-BLGH_2402 by Chris Hall, on Flickr G-CKCZ_2335 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Booker 07/03/15My next road trip was planned for the Vintage Aircraft Club spring rally at Turweston on the 22nd March. Stopping at Birmingham on the way down and I was able to capture G-TCSX Boeing 757-2K2 of TAG Aviation / TCS Expeditions G-TCSX by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Birmingham 22/03/15Then it was onto Turweston where I met up with several AFA forum members, plus meeting a pilot that would offer some great photo opportunites for me over the coming months. Very difficult to choose a highlight from this event, but I think seeing Travel Air R Racer Replica G-TATR in the air for the first time just about takes it G-TATR_3282 by Chris Hall, on Flickr It was also nice to see the rare Yakovlev Yak-12M G-PFKD G-PFKD_3424 by Chris Hall, on Flickr and Stinson V77 Reliant G-BUCH G-BUCH_3192 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Turweston 22/03/15Calling in at East Mids on the way home there was one of interest, Cessna 560 Citation V D-CSUN operated by Air Hamburg Private Jets Our final port of call was Tatenhill. Several of the residents were active including this former Hucknall based Reims FA150K Aerobat G-BHRH by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Tatenhill 22/03/15

Superb so far Chris. The Terrier above looks like she is sat outside the Tiger Airways maintenance hangar. I take it you had some steps to see over the metal fence there?

The first weekend of May and all roads lead to Popham. Having planned a two day trip, the first stop was Luton and there were several Rugby charters including 2 Fokker 100s of Carpatair YR-FKA and YR-FYA. Denim Air Fokker 100 PH-MJP, Niki A320 OE-LEU, Blu-Express B737 I-BPAC. Best of the day was Czech Airlines A319 OK-NEP painted in "City of Prague" livery OK-NEP by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Luton 02/05/15Then it was onto Heathrow, 09L was in use so we went to the T5 slip road banking. Difficult to pick a highlight, but its between the Aeromexico and China Southern B787s N964AM by Chris Hall, on Flickr B-2736 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Heathrow 02/05/15Next was a quick look in at Fairoaks, Aero Commander 690 ZK-MOH was the most intresting thing here. ZK-MOH by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Fairoaks 02/05/15Finally it was Farnborough. Photography here is always tricky due to the distances and heat haze. APRON by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Farnborough 02/05/15We stayed at the Premier Inn Farnborough Hotel which is handy being next to a pub that sells good food. Day 2 and we woke up to crap weather, we decided to head over to Blackbushe for breakfast and decide what to do about Popham. Its always nice to see a classic square tail Cessna. N9432B by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Blackbushe 03/05/15I had already arranged a tour at Lasham, but as we headed that way in deteriorating weather conditions I phoned my contact to cancel as I didnt fancy wandering around in the heavy rain. A quick stop at Lasham to see the stored B757s and getting updates about Popham we decided to head north. VQ-BHR by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Lasham 03/05/15So with plan B now in operation we headed for Brize Norton CS-TQP by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Brize Norton 03/05/15next was a quick stop at Birmingham OO-VLJ by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Birmingham 03/05/15Then it was up to East Midlands G-MEDX by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at East Midlands 03/05/15Last stop of the day was Derby-Eggington, as it was getting late we decided not to ask for a tour and just viewed from the flying club area, little has changed since our last visit G-ALTO by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Derby 03/05/15On the whole, day two of our road trip was a washout due to the great British weather 17th May and it was a trip out to a couple of locals, First Manchester where we got all the usual suspects plus several bizjets N548EE by Chris Hall, on Flickr N10XG by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Manchester 17/05/15Next was Barton, as I had a tip off about an unusual visitor. Socata TBM-850 N492B N492B by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Barton 17/05/1523rd May was a quick visit to my nearest airfield, Hawarden, as the Red Arrows were baseing themselves there for the weekend 24th May and its the Cold War Jets open day at Bruntingthorpe. First stop was Leicester, always a friendly place and after checking in at control we wandered around the hangars. It was my first visit here since the new helicopter hangar had been completed and we were given a guided tour G-CHWJ by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Leicester 24/05/15Then it was the short trip down to Bruntingthorpe, sadly the weather was poor this year so restricted any fly in visitors also the open top bus tours were not operating due to "Health & Safety" bullshit. Another downside was they have reduced the viewing area alongside the runway which ment most visitors were crammed into a smaller area making it nearly impossible to photograph the taxy runs. Of intrest was the forward fuselage section of VC-10 ZA149 being painted into Gulf Air colours. It will be transported to Dubai for display. ZA149 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Bruntingthorpe 24/05/15On the way home we made the obligatory stop at Birmingham. OY-RUE by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Birmingham 24/05/1530th May and we were on the road again, stopping at East Midlands UR-82009 by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at East Midlands 30/05/15before heading down to Sywell for Aeroexpo 2015, How do you pick a favorite from here? Proberbly Richard Goodwin's exellent display G-EWIZ by Chris Hall, on Flickr full set at Aeroexpo 2015On the way up the M6 it was another stop at Birmingham full set at Birmingham 30/05/15and that brings a busy May to a close
