I managed to bag 727s N438BN & N451BN in Toronto some time in the early 1980s.

Afternoon Guys,
I managed a few trips on Braniff back in the '70's...
20Apr78 LGW-Dallas Fort Worth N601BN B747 'Big Orange' 22Apr78 Dallas-Harlingen N5728 DC-9 Texas Intl (visited Confederate Air Force museum) 22Apr78 Harlingen-Dallas N1302T DC-9 Texas Intl 22Apr78 DFW-Houston N428BN B727 Braniff 23Apr78 HOU-San Antonio N444BN B727 Braniff 26Apr78 Austin-Dallas N441BN B727 Braniff 26Apr78 Dallas-LGW N601BN B747 Braniff
I then made a second trip in 1981.
31Oct81 LGW-Dallas N602BN B747 Braniff 04Nov81 Dallas-LGW N602BN B747 Braniff
During both trips I managed to see quite a few of the Braniff fleet but apart from the Big Orange I didn't really keep a note of the colours... But I do recall Dallas as being very colourful at the time....
Great memories.... And my first visit to the site of the Alamo... Reminds me everytime I see the movie....
Cheers lads.
Bill

I was fortunate to be at Dallas Fort Worth in early 1983. On that day I made 40 Braniff 727s which remained in store there after the airline’s demise, plus 69 American AL 727s, 16 Delta 727s, 1 Western and 1 Eastern. Dropped a fair few as well but ended the day making 127 727s alone! Among those probably dropped was the green one I took in San Antonio in 1981 and the red one at Miami in 1981 (poor quality shot but possibly interesting as it shows just a part of cockroach corner in the background and an Air Florida DC9 on the next gate).
