I always place my camera SD card into the card reader on the PC and usually, it opens up the pictures perfectly. I can then click on individual images to edit them, crop them, or whatever. When trying today, if I click on an image once the card reader has placed the files onto the screen, I get an error message saying, " J:\DCIM\100CANON\IMG_7104.JPG Invalid value for registry".
I've tried with a remote card reader as well as the slot on the PC, and have also tried using the card reader on my printer, each time I get the same error message. I've tried with three different SD cards and get the same message. Anyone know what the issue is please? Thanks

Yes mate, and I get the same error message. It was fine two days ago as I uploaded and posted the shots of the 747SP. Not playing today though.

It could be the drivers on your PC, try a reset to a date before the problem occured

OK, an update, if I go to any photo within my "my photos" folders and click to open it, I get the same error message. So it must be the PC? Just took a screenshot of the error message within my "my photos" but I can't then even click and open the screenshot.

After a bit of investigating it seems this is a well documented issue with W10. I did as you suggested Chris and rolled back to a restore point from a fortnight ago and that appears to have solved the issue. However, Microsoft say there is no dedicated "fix" yet other than to set a restore point. Let's hope they resolve this quickly.
