Not been a bad year for me. Total for the year was 2725 including 213 Over The Top. My highlight was the Air Britain trip to Austria & Germany in August (1437 copped).
Tenerife South in April was good, hotel on the approach to the south airport. Will go earlier in another year. March is better month.
I usually go out with my wife & rarely miss an airfield on our days out.
I visited Manchester many times as it is only an hour and a half away, Birmingham, Coventry, EMA, Luton, Heathrow, Staverton & Kemble also received regular visits.
Oxford, Brize, Norwich, Wellesbourne, Snitterfield, Bagby, Sutton Bank, Husbands Bosworth, Denham, Stansted, London City were also visited.
I went to Duxford (and missed Fairford) for Flying Legends & Fowlmere. The Air Britain Fly-in at North Weald was visited but the rain put a dampener on events.
I Did not go to Popham due to the weather but both fly-ins at Sywell were attended and I did well at both.
Local airfields at Sleap, Welshpool & Long Mynd were also looked at. Shawbury provided a few cops, but I work there & don't see everything. Halfpenny Green & Shobdon Fly-ins aslo provided a few cops.
I plan to go to Popham for the trade fair, weather permitting, as usual I will stay at Heathrow Premier Inn, Bath Rd. I book in advance and cancel if weather is no good.
Fairford & Farnborough will feature as this is my holiday week, so a couple of days at Heathrow are planned. Hope to do both Sywell Fly-ins and then New Zealand in November via Singapore (1 day's spotting on the way out and another on the return).
