present at 11.00 this morning were T-333 and T-343 AS532s Swiss Air Force and 144 and 166 Bell 412s Norwegian Air Force. Two other Bell412s had departed back to Brize Norton on the 27th. The two Swiss Pumas were very active but the Norwegians didn't look like they were going anywhere soon.

I drive past Knook 3-4 times a month wrighty and I didn't even realise it was an active base. Can these be seen from the main road?

Its often used for Salisbury Plain flying. Yes visibility is good from the A36 but a turn north on to the B390 produces better results as one of the pans is beside that road.

You may be lucky but the exercise effectively ends today and two of the four Norwegian Bells actually left Brize yesterday in a Hungarian/NATO C17. Worth a look though if you are in the area.

Afternoon Graham. It only seems to be used during exercises, and I don't just mean helicopters, the rest of the time it's just care and maintenance. Here and Larkhill have traditionally been temporary home to any helicopters when using SPTA. Nigel.

There will be nothing there Saturday. Swiss left today, Norwegians should already be in bits at Brize awaiting pick up Saturday morning Mark

I can confirm the last two Norwegians were loaded onto a C17 at Brize tonight so Knook is definitely empty Cheers Mark
