a privilege indeed..... i certainly felt very small standing next to it. Just a shame the weather was so bad for its departure

I spotted it coming out of Ireland on FR24 and when I saw it decending towards you I thought...."blimey ...lucky blighters !"

I read elsewhere that the 124 was in to pick up a couple of heli's for transportation to the Falklands.
Assume this is part of the handover of SAR duties from a Mil to Civ operation.
