Great places John...especially when Mildenhall had an annual airshow and Blackbird was based there...never to be forgotten sight of the crew walking out in their space gear to climb aboard the a/c that had been sat in the static park all morning and then watch it take off, display and then disappear to you know where Now reported to close soon. Lakenheath has an excellent carpark / viewing area where the F15s warm up and landings across the road are fantasticly close

Greyhound passed over here about 10 mins ago heading south west and probably ex Mildenhall area. Showing as AE044B which is/was 162143 and calling RG01. Is this another box swap and actually 162154 as mentioned by Tarnish or really 162143 which was in Boscombe a few years back? Have seen 31 Greyhounds but 162154 is a notable gap.

FC are reporting "Navy RG01 just called Lakenheath approach on 309.2 in the descent for Runway 06"........"It was 162143 with a 44 on the nose"

C-2A Greyhound 162154 Visiting Both Bases This Afternoon 20/3 Evening Tarnish, Is it just me or does everyone get distracted when you post messages!!! Anyway, back to business... Did you have a firm ID of the Greyhound today, it went straight over me at Deepcut and tracked NW to LHR them up towards MHZ/LKH... I know we can't rely on PF but it was showing it as 162150 c/s RG02/VRN02 - any confirmation would be gratefully received... Plus, when you respond we get to see that photo again!! Also, did anyone see the US Navy C37B that was trailing westbound at 18.39, haven't potted two US Navy machines in quick succession for some time... Nice!!! Cheers. Bill

Love it Bill, maybe for a belated Red Nose Day we should post avatars of the Missus. I have to say though that mine will have slightly more clobber on than Tarnish's good lady...;0)

Jeff - thanks for the Greyhound confirmation. RG02 passed a bit too far to the east of here a while later.
