This place looks fascinating! Has anyone either got a full list of residents...both museum and current scrappage area detainees....or could some kind soul point me towards an up to date listing of same on another internet site, please?
Has to be worth a visit when the Victor is powered up and moving (slowly, this time!!).
Sorry for the request and thanks for any help.
Graham

Thanks Chaps
Thats half of it! The stuff at GJD is the next target! Aside from the easily identifiable big bits, there are some interesting bits of fuselage and frames generally dotted around which are drawing the camera and me towards them! Bit like my local Kemble scrappy. Has anyone archived what has passed through the scrappers over the years ( like the SWAG chaps have done with Saints)?

Cheers, Chris. Much the same...but something inside me drives me to want to know what everything is!! Having said that...I cant keep up with what goes on at ASI, just three miles up the road...so not surprised that the detail seems sparse re GJD at Brunty.

Graham I'm not great at maintaining logs, but have a great interest in airliners passing through the Pearlys worldwide. GJD disposals are less than the heyday a couple of years ago, and only a Couple or three ex-civvie 747s and the ex-RAF Tristars remain. I may be able to help with past disposals, if you have holes to fill.

The one thing that caught my eye as we flew over t'other week was what looked like a Gulfstream fuselage lying near the white 737 (i think) fuselage, beyond the 747s and Tristars; looking from north of the heavies. Any idea what it is?

Any idea what it is? Graham Fuselage is the G-1159 Gulfstream III. N103CD, which sustained substantial damage following a take-off incident at Biggin Hill in late November 2014. The airframe was transported by road to Bruntingthorpe in November 2015. The 737 fuselage should be B734 N858WL (ex-KLM. PH-BDW), from the location you gave. HTH

Excellent! Thanks Steve. Now all that remains us to contact GJD and see if I can get a bit of it with a Gulfstream symbol on! Kept forgetting to ask ASI re the Jetstar...and now it is dog food tins.
Cheers

No worries WB. I haven't passed by there for a while now, and understand that with the Cathays gone, it looks a bit sparse now. There is supposedly another 737 fuselage on the field, but that was/is located amongst the foliage at the western end, north of the main hard 24 runway. It's reportedly used as offices / equipment store. It's the old ex-bmiBaby 735. G-BVKB, from around 2013.

You are right about the other 737 fuse, I think. I took some pics whilst flying to Leicester to other day. Not the greatest photos but I am fairly sure that fuse is where you indicate. All very neat and tidy...but sparse, as you say!
