Was going to post about this, went over to Gunwharf with the girlfriend to do some shopping today (£15 or so spent in Lindt and Cadburys outlets lol), got the Gosport Ferry from Gosport and went directly behind it - the right hand hangar was wide open (14:00ish) with a light on, thought I could see the props but wouldn't put money on it by any means. Probably just reflections. The left hand hangar was closed as you say. Went into the Adidas outlet and got a Real Madrid shirt for £10 instead of £40, lov-er-lay!! Did you see the people absailing down the Spinnaker Tower? - training for a charity event tomorrow. Told the girlfriend I wanted to do it, got told I would be single and dead... Lol. Dylan

I did my abseiling years ago Dylan and I would regard it as not that exiting just a matter of learning a technique, going up would be more exiting.
Sorry you could see nothing Gents, I found the shot of it entering port on the internet, I havn't been down to see it myself, I think I have been on one of that class in Portsmouth before and my only memory of a Danish Helicopter in Portsmouth was a Lynx who's blond pilot my other half thought cute. I think the Dane is in all weekend
Also arriving on Friday was a French ship FS Elan (A768) on Victory Jetty ,I think, which is of a class I don't think I've seen before. Definitely no helicopters on that though, far too small. Not sure how long this one is in for as QHM site is not loaded for Saturday, Sunday or Monday
Shirt sounds a bargain, I have quite a few obscure foreign ones purchased over the years, nice material at a snip
Regards
John

Morning John, Indeed - whilst looking for a job on the internet, yesterday there was one in the tower providing "hospitality". What that is, I don't know, although I'd love to go up it. Sadly you had to have 1 year experience in the hospitality area, which I have none.
L217 was the code on the rear of the Danish if I remember correctly. I would've asked somebody how long it's staying, although nobody (that I recognized) was around to ask. I saw a small ship behind the Dane, although my recognition with boats is beyond awful lol. Only knew it was the Danish because it was in a different place to usual and had a massive Danish flag waving on the rear of the boat! Lol.
Indeed it was a bargain, I shall definitely be shopping around that way a lot more once I'm making an income haha. Cheers for all the info John, much appreciated mate. Regards, Dylan

Morning Dylan, normally, hospitality is of the "welcome to the tower Sir", "this way to the lifts", and that type of thing, just really making certain that the visitors have a good time and know where they're going and what they're doing.

Hi Dylan
Graham has it spot on Dylan they would be looking for someone who is smartly presented, confident, polite, pleasant, smiling. If you know about what can be seen in the view, local history, current local events etc that is a bonus.
Regards
John
