Morning all, Jeff and I are meeting up with Peter Brown at Blackbushe on Friday at around 13th. Bill is going to be there, hopefully Stuart too so if any of you gents could make it, that would be great. Jeff, Peter and myself are having a chinwag about our respective forums but as with any visit to the Bushe, I will also be taking the camera and bins. Everyone is welcome so if you can make it, we will be there for around 10.30/11.00.

....although I probably won't have a pint in me hand my Lord..;0) Unless it's really cold, I'll more than likely have the same leather jacket on as in my avatar, look out for a black Mondeo 63 plate. If it's really cold will have my "Biggles" flying jacket on with large furry collar!

If you've been watching the repeats of To The Manor Born, recent episodes have featured a retired high ranking Army officer type. The garb, should be something like he was wearing! I might even manage a pipe to go with it!

I'm pretty certain that Monday evening's curry "experience" in downtown Birmingham has bid me farewell by now. No oxygen masks required!

Yes, Lynda looked particularly attractive I thought...;0)
A really good informal meet up where we all talked about ways to make both this forum and Peter's better. We certainly wouldn't want to steal any of Peter and Stuart's thunder on their excellent new Blackbushe forum but what we will be doing, with their total approval, is once a week to post Peter's choice from his seven "photos of the day" from that week as his "photo of the week" and then letting people know that if they would like to see more of the same, then click on the link to take you directly to his and Stuart's forum. We regularly attract anything between 300 and 400 guests here each day so even if only a few of those decide to head for Peter's forum, it could swell his numbers considerably.
It will also give us here a taster of "Blackbushe past" which can only be good for all concerned.

Would so much have loved being with you all today, but being 80 and not feeling 100% and with one foot in the grave and the other on a piece of soap, it was not really possible to make it, also living so near in Farnborough as well it was most annoying that I couldn't be with you. Perhaps there will be another meet up and I will be able to see you all. Hope you all had an enjoyable time, I'm jealous!!!!!!!!!

At last names have faces!! Tremendous meeting Graham and Jeff together, along with Bill, Stuart, the lovely Lynda (shame about the facial hair don't you think?), and his Lordship. No monocle today! I think it'll be a lot of fun as our forums evolve, and hopefully we can arrange more 'meet-ups' and maybe more comprehensive gatherings in due course.
Sorry to read of Falcon's frustration, cannot be easy reading of how his feet are located...Perhaps we can help him out next time with some wheels, by that I mean a lift!
Catch up soon Peter B

Peter, thanks so much for your kind offer, but I can still drive, sometimes the body says no, Derrick, not today, have a rest,so that's what happened on Friday. Nice to know there are still people about who care and think of others, instead of the usual self, self, self. Best Wishes Derrick
