The girls tartan uniforms looked good too, was there a male version? or was the cabin a female only domain?

Cracking shots Jeff, recall flying on their 1-11's & DC10's many years ago. Love the livery on the DC10, wouldn't mind seeing a line up that that at Gatwick now !

Superb Jeff, yes, I too remember the tartan skirts of the BCAL air stewardesses, very pleasant indeed!

Good to see BCAL again Jeff, flew several times from LGW to Glasgow and Edinburgh, always very good breakfasts, several times I had to leave the company car in the car park in the evening, due to Flight crew continueing to fill my glass excessively, well that's my excuse!! LOL

Before the British was added I flew a couple of times in One Elevens to Hanover and Frankfurt in 1970. The Hanover flight was my first ever flight. Then in 1972 I flew in a couple of BCAL 707s to and from Washington Dulles. Then in 1985 I flew on the pre M25 heli shuttle S61 from LGW to LHR, and finally flew to Lanzarote in1993 on a 757 by which time the British had gone again. I was supposed to return on Caledonian but an Air 2000 757 was substituted.

G-SCOT and G-CLAN from memory.
G-SCOT became G-OJUG before sale to the USA, G-CLAN became G-FCSL and is still current.
