First slot for the London Regatta is tomorrow 05/06
NOTAM has been issued:
CROSS-LONDON BALLOON FLIGHT. UP TO 50 HOT AIR BALLOONS WILL LAUNCH FM 513325N 0000150W (HACKNEY MARSHES, E LONDON). OPS CTC, TEL 07753 389365 / 07773 300372. BALLOONS MAY BE FOUND UP TO 15NM DOWNWIND OF LAUNCH SITE. PILOTS ARE REQUESTED TO EXER CTN IN THE VCY. FLT WI CONTROLLED AIRSPACE WILL BE SUBJ APPROVAL FM THE APPROPRIATE ATC UNIT. 16-06-0331/AS 5.
Suspect we will be canx as the wind direction at 1000-2000ft is not kind, although landing at Heathrow against the departing traffic could be fun!

Just to confirm June 05 canx due to wind direction, LHR wouldn't have been too happy ;-)
On to next weekend it is...

The website is not showing anything new, anyone know the launch site please According to LAASi site the launch site was Burgess Park, South London? Where between 04.50 & 05.10 this morning up to 40 balloons were seen details of same on latter site. I am assuming they all flew. Happy Days Bob

Not sure which page it was on, but I saw on Facebook earlier on a picture of a lot of them launching at the crack of dawn - looked amazing.
Kind Regards Dylan

Would have gone- if I lived down South- but it is a long way to go- especially if they do not fly- so cannot take the chance-hopefully the weather will pick up in the next couple of months- so at least I can get down to some of my planned events. But at least I had Chicago and of course Pidley. Happy Days Bob

A couple of video clips:
The view from our basket, loud funky music for the young people to enjoy ;-)
And the view from the G-SFSL that was in front of us as we landed, capturing our landing
