Preserved F.4 Phantoms and CASA 212s Madrid area PHOTOS

Preserved on a roundabout near Torrejon AB, is this RF.4C Phantom, CR.12-45 (12-54).




Also seen  preserved at the gate at Torrejon was C.12-02 (12-01) F.4C Phantom.

Then just before Madrid-Barajas airport , on top of a car parts building, is unmarked T.33A Shooting Star E.15-20.

The next day, after visiting Cuatro Vientos, we searched for a few more preserved frames in nearby Getafe.

First up was this CASA 212-100, T.12B-64 jammed into Parque Infantile de Trafico Educacion Vial...




Then another F.4C Phantom, (C.12-33) on a roundabout on Avinir Comandante Jose Manuel Rip...



Also on a roundabout, at the main gate for Getafe air base was this Hispano HA.220D Super Saeta, A.10-110




We could also see the preserved DC-4, T.4-8, on the ramp.

Last stop was another CASA 212-100, T.12B-56 on a roundabout in Perales Del Rio...



Then back to the hotel at Madrid-Barajas.
