Just noticed on the LAA site- that there has been a small increase to admission for non-members by road from £10 to £12. Airside access has stayed the same at £10 per day. LAA Members arriving by road have to pay £6 entry but get free airside access. Still providing the weather plays ball- £22 is well worth it. Also Dogs not allowed on the airfield. Happy Days Bob

I've not got a big light aircraft interest in general, either from the reg or photography side, unless they are a good few years old. But I love fly-ins and really miss the old Cranfield days...so last year I joined some friends on their yearly LAA Sywell trip and it was one of my most enjoyable weekends of the year! I'm doing all 3 days again with them again this year too, really looking forward to it! Cheers Mark

Mark, Love the Rally- have been to almost all the ones over the years first one I remember Leicester East, the Sywell, Cranfield, Wroughton, Kemble then back to Sywell for the last few years. Best event of the year as far as I am concerned. With the airside access being a real bonus. Foreign have been down over the last few years but really down to weather- best one I remember was Leicester East I think in 1981 with loads (Well a few) Danish KZ's Fingers crossed for good weather for the full weekend. Happy days Bob

She indeed has a long memory and yes, think it was the B2. Cheek!!! Our last flight was a massive one. Charlton Park. Pretty much in the Oaksey circuit!!! We did visit Hurn a few years back....but got nosebleeds being that far south.

😁😁 That must have been such a long day!!! I will try to leave that particular t-shirt at home, I wouldn't want to risk that confrontation!! Mind you I can't promise your tent won't escape some attention, those guy ropes have a nasty habit of loosening themselves off! 🙄
