Unfortunately I didn't get the stunningly good gliding weather Bobby and the gliders enjoyed on Saturday and when I left at 13.00 the weather was still not good enough to even send the sniffer up.
However I was able to take up the offer of a trip around the grid for a £5 donation to the Gliding Heritage Centre. The guide youngster Michael was very enthusiastic and imparted a lot of information on the Gliders/Tugs to be seen
Earlier in the morning I got to meet by chance Gary Pullen of the Gliding Heritage Centre at Lasham and he updated me on current events.

As you can see from the attachment below they are well on there way to buying and installing a second hanger which will be the same size as the first.

This will allow more gliders currently being kept in boxes to be displayed and more donations to be accepted, They are currently being offered about one glider a month.
Gary had piloted the Austrian Glider into Blackbushe for the recent Air Day and had been delighted by the level of interest shown in the Gliding Heritage Centre and their exhibits. Their area had certainly been buzzing when I had visited in the early afternoon .
