Hi smudger, I use steps to shoot over the fence, most of the shots were AV priority, F6.3 or F5.6, exposure bias -1/3 or -2/3 using a Canon EOS 40D and EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens and a few tweaks in picassa.
