It was the weekend of Full Sutton LAA fly in. This year I opted to go on the Sunday as the forecast for Staurday was for heavy winds gusting upto 25mph across the runway, it was an excellent turnout with all monies raised being split between the LAA and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Also it was a good excuse to catch up with all my friends from the Top Cat flying group. Another reason to visit Full Sutton was to catch up with the guys and girls from The Spirit of Goole, which is a Youth Build A Plane scheme to get schoolchildren from Goole High School in Yorkshire involved in building a Sherwood Ranger. Its a projrct I have followed and supported from near the very beginning. In a little over two years the students under the watchful eyes of Jack Milnes, Chris Milnes and Steven Jackson have produced fantastic aircraft. They are just waiting for the paperwork back from the LAA so they can commence flight testing and hope to fly it at the LAA rally at Sywell.
