Spitfire Mk F9 G-CIYF**(C/S REG)was airborne for 10 minutes just before 18.00hrs.The Heritage hangar stated on their Facebook page that SPIT BR601 made its second test flight yesterday the 31st,The FAA register has it cancelled as N601FF.So its G-CIYF or BR601 now and looking good in the air.

According to G-INFO, the registration G-CIYF was issued on 15th February 2016 and the entry shows a previous identity of N601FF. Owner shown as "Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar Ltd."
Interestingly, the entry does not (as yet) show the issue of an Exemption Certificate allowing it to display its military serial.

This is still very much belonging to the Collings Foundation and will be returning Stateside once everything here is completed. In their own words: It will likely end up based in Worcester, MA once it is back in the U.S. It is registered to the Biggin lot purely as a paperwork exercise for the restoration and UK flight programme. There is also a twin stick being restored by the same people, i think again for collins
On another note but still Warbird related, Hurricane V7497, a WW2 Bob flyer recieved its Merlin engine this week
