With just three left in service the end is nigh for US Air's B767 fleet....
N256AY B762 (26847) flew its last revenue service on 5/2 & will be stored along with N249AU (23901).
Disposition of the B762s, which used to be regular visitors to Gatwick, is as follows:
N245AY (23897 ex N603P, N645US) stored at Goodyear, AZ N246AY (23898 ex N604P, N646US) stored at Kansas City, MO N248AY (23900 ex N608P, N648US) stored at Victorville, CA N249AU (23901 ex N614P, N649US) parked at Charlotte, NC N250AY (23902 ex N617P, N650US) current N251AY (24764 ex N651US) current N252AU (24765 ex N652US) current N253AY (24894 ex N653US) derelict at Mobile, AL N255AY (25257 ex N655US) stored at Goodyear, AZ N256AY (26847 ex N656US) parked at Charlotte, NC
Two aircraft that left the fleet prior to reregistration when the carrier was renamed from US Air to US A/W & after the merger with America West were: N647US (23899 ex N607P) to EI-DBW, current with Transaero N654US (25225) W/O 22/09/00 in ground fire at Philadelphia, PA after engine exploded during test run

Hi Bill. Was at Goodyear in November. Not the best shot but here is N245AY (with the nose of 255 poking out) in store then. Lots of better stuff there though!
