Travelling back from working in Cornwall, the A303 was really nose to tail so decided to nip into Yeovilton as I was passing right by it anyway. Nothing to be seen from the Museum carpark so drove down the lanes through Yeovilton village and parked up by the crash gate that overlooks the main apron. Quite a lot flying, logged the following during my 25 minute stay, bold type indicates a new frame. Wildcats ZZ364ZZ388 ZZ395 ZZ398 ZZ406ZZ521Lynx XZ689 Merlin Army Coded "Q", any ID please? Alpha Jet ZJ651 Harvard 285068 (G-KAMY) Grobs BYVF BYWGBYXK BYXS Photos to follow, but for now, can anyone shed any light on the stuff on the dump please? Sea Hawk on fire section coded 115 is WV911
Harrier is XW630
I believe the 2 Lynx are XZ674 and XZ719
XZ719 is the HMA.8 on its side, and XZ674 is the camo AH.7 rotor-less (one of my last 9 Lynx)

Graham,
From left to right as follows:-
XW630 Harrier GR.3 WV911/C-115 Sea Hawk FGA.4 XZ674/T Lynx AH.7 XZ719/64(5) Lynx HMA.8SRU.....on its side.
There are two other items that you might have seen, but did not appear in the photograph:- 773 Sea King Commando 2B Egyptian Navy...........pointing directly away from you and completely hidden by the Lynx on its side. XS513 Wessex HU.5.
See www.fightercontrol.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=119365&hilit=Yeovilton. for picture that identifies everything. However, it looks as if the remains of Harrier T.4N ZB601 has gone.
Regards,
Bob
