I am signing in on my iPad and keep getting the response "a problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded". At which point it signs me out and I have to start again, several times. Anyone else experiencing this ?? Tony

Hi Trev & Tony
I will drop a line to the Proboards forum support and see if this is an issue they are aware of, and if so, whether there's a solution?
Cheers Graham

Can you offer any help please to resolve the problem?

Chaps, had this response <<Does the same issue occur in a private browsing tab?>> Post by grahamdevizes on 8 minutes ago <<Apologies Brian, but I don't know what that means.>> Post by Brian Ordonez on 3 minutes ago <<This page provides instructions on how to open a private browsing tab.>> support.apple.com/en-us/HT203036Private browsing doesn't utilize your previous cookies or cache, which helps to narrow down the cause of the problem. Gents, if that makes sense to you, then hopefully it will resolve the issue

I too have the issue with the iPad. As for the private browsing response...typical tech speak to a luddite like me so may as well be in Swahili!!

OK chaps, like you, I'm no PC whizz kid and certainly know nothing about -pads. I'll post again on the support forum but as you say, those on there who post replies assume we all have their level of PC savvy.

Right, have scoured the support forum and there is a large thread running on there about this exact issue, which was started about a week ago. Proboards IT developers are aware of the problem, it's happening across ALL Proboards forums, not just this one, they have it as a prority to resolve and will adjust ALL forums automatically with the "fix" once the software has been written. So, just hang in there please chaps....

Thanks for your efforts Graham, at least I know it's not a problem with the iPad itself. Shall wait and see...... Tony

Hi Graham having problems loading the site onto my iPad since you posted the photo of the Silkway 747 at the top. It takes a long time to download and sometime freezes with just the picture at the top of the screen and when it does load the front of the 747 is always cut off and never shows the full aircraft. Don't know if maybe the photo is too big, but interested if anyone else is suffering the same response. It does show the full picture on my iMac screen. Tony

Hi Tony
All banner shots are resized prior to loading onto the site so that they don't take too long to load up. I checked the file size of the Silkway and in fact, at 241kB it's smaller than the three previous banner shots we've had recently. Did you have any problems with those at all? Sorry I can't offer a solution but if it persists, I will gladly post a request for assistance on the support forum. Bob's is OK though by the sound of it, so I wonder why yours isn't?

Thanks Graham had no problem with other banner pictures, don't know why it's only showing three quarters of the 747. When the rest of the site loads it's perfectly usable, it's just it takes longer than it was last week. I will check out if using Safari makes a difference by loading another browser. still enjoying the forum. regards Tony

I did try another browser on my iPad but it made no difference, also tried the site on another iPad that had not loaded the site before and exactly the same happened. It was slow to load and only displayed part of the banner picture. Don't know what the problem is. ?? Tony

All
Having looked at these replies, it seems that it is not only ipads are affected, my Samsun Galaxy tablet also cuts off the nose of the 747, but the rest of the form is fine.
Very odd,.

Just had a go on the wife's Samsung galaxy tablet and it too cuts off the 747s nose. It's as if the banner shot has moved to the far left into the vacant blue space but all the forums are in view as they should be. As jeff says above, we'll change the banner shot later and see what happens.

Hi Graham Pleased to say loading and response has returned to normal. As long as it's only one Tornado in the top banner. Tony

Graham
Still a problem on Samsung Galaxy, I'm afraid. On the right, the banner picture lines up with the blue headers, but on the left, the picture is cut off. However, the main body of the forum is centralised.
Hope this gives an idea of the problem.
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike
it must be an issue regarding the Galaxy, my missus' Galaxy tablet does the same. I have spoken to the support forum and they say that there's not much they can do about it I'm afraid. They do say that various makes of tablet/phone all display the forums in a slightly different way. They also say that as long as the forum and sub forums themselves display correctly, then there's nothing they can offer in a way of a "fix" to enable the phone or tablet to display the entire banner shot.
