x12 "JZ" F-15's will arrive sometime after the 20th of March 2017 at Leeuwarden for Frisian Flag which gets underway on the 27th of March hopefully all 12 will turn up as last year a detachment to Iceland went ahead but i think this year the TDY In Iceland is taken with Italian Typhoons

I'd forgotten I'd started this thread....oops!!
Yes, arriving at Leeuwarden on Tuesday 21st March (according to Scramble) and not going via Lakenheath (barring last-minute diversions).

Well, here's the NOTAM:-
Typical F-15 one.
I'm told that it will be KC-135s only doing the drag (a lot have been assembling on the East Coast), but will they go into Mildenhall or on to Ramstein/Spangdahlem (or somewhere else) - I don't know.
For those looking at the various virtual radar apps, "BOBBYxx" will be the tankers' callsigns.

Wednesday 22nd March
"BOBBY63" KC-135R 59-1475 [AE04C4] got airborne from New Orleans with F-15s "CUBE11-16".
However, things seem to have gone a bit pear-shaped as only "BOBBY62" KC-135R 58-0109 [AE04E0] got airborne from McGuire. As it would appear that they were expecting another tanker as well - which did not show - "CUBE" flight diverted into Bangor IAP, Me. "BOBBY63" went into Bangor too as expected.
"BOBBY62" appears to have gone back home to Iowa.
EDIT:- It was the tankers at Gander that could not launch due to snow and low cloud. (credit Scramble)

Probably returning from Moron AB after escorting 6 x "FM" F-16s from Homestead to Moron. "GOLD98/99" should be taking them on to (Andravida AB?) Greece.
EDIT:- They were actually taking them to Moron. Same two taking them on to Andravida on 23/03. "GOLD22" will return to Mildenhall, "GOLD21" back to Moron.

Gander was causing problems again, but I think that everything may be under control now. Will update when everything becomes clearer.
