Well, its clouded over now, so I guess that's it for me for the day.
Can't grumble though.....made one C-17 (out of three) plus, of course, those two Norwegian Bell 412s at Rollestone Camp.
Here's to tomorrow.

LHR using 09 all day, but had to wait until after 17.00 for something interesting, EC-MMG A330 of Iberia. Other frames made were TC-JVV/Y 738 and HB-JBE CS100 all out of BHX, G-JZHR 738 out of MAN, a distant view of PH-HXC 738 heading for the sunshine and F-HLIM C560 heading ESE. A bit disappointing considering the clear blue skies and trails at all levels.

Today was one of those days that probably promised to deliver a fair few, but in the end turned out to be a battle of wills, with the low level mist failing to clear until the afternoon, but still happy with my haul of eight for the day.

Not a great day for me either, with just one airliner frame N821AN 789 on the AA49 CDG-IAH. A few biz, G-USHA Lear 75, M-MIKE C.525B, F-GPNJ F.900EX. OO-TCT A320, OO-SFZ A330 and HB-JYI A319 were scrapes.
(edit) and a bonus, A6-EUL A380 just went overhead on the EK4 LHR outbound.

Only the one KC-10A 79-1947 for me today.
Amazing day for RCH flights, though - 3 Eastbound and 15 Westbound (two of these were too early for me!!). Only four (plus one early) came my way.

The morning was a teeth-gnasher, with the Dutch KDC-10 (not needed) plus 6 F-16s (all needed) coming right over my house - but 100% cloud cover put paid to seeing anything.
It cleared up lunchtime to yield beautiful blue skies - but nothing at all came my way.......typical!!!
Then it clouded over again late afternoon, but Chinook ZD984 came over at 16.47Z (heading Devizes direction) which I needed. So, not a total wash-out for the day.
Cheers,
Bob

2 for me today, both Chinooks at about 2,000 feet over the house. ZK556 and ZK558.
Annoyingly ZK554 just went over too which I need. Saw the lights but too dark to see the aircraft, so denied the hat-trick!

Arrived back at LGW yesterday morning after 4 weeks away in Australia via Hong Kong. I have just logged my sightings on Planebase and calculate of the 769 noted, I needed 341, so a great way to start the year.(This was our 6th trip to Australia, so I was not expecting to need everything!) I will have a go at a trip report over the coming days, but would say that if you like A330s, then HKG and SYD are the places for you. We flew Cathay Pacific ex LGW, so experienced both A350 and A330 sectors, and had the same seat numbers for all 4 legs. The A350 wins easily for quietness of cabin.
