RAF Typhoons will route to Lajes en route to Nellis AFB, Nv for participation in Red Flag 17-1 (23/01/2017 to 10/02/2017).
Following Shanwick NOTAM has been posted for the flight to Lajes:- This means that they should route out over Lands End

Thursday 12th January
11.17Z "RRR9101" Voyager ZZ336 [43C6F9] now airborne from Brize Norton and climbing towards the NW to collect (over Cardigan Bay) the first wave of 4 Typhoons from Lossiemouth.
One Typhoon is plotting as "ASCOT911" ZJ947 [43C743]........r/t callsign "RRR9511".....passing over Valley at 11.41Z
11.47Z Link up complete....crossing the coast at Aberystwyth at FL260 heading towards Swansea. 11.58Z Passing SWANY, and turned for LND. 12.16Z Passing GITUS for TAKAS......Another Typhoon "ASCOT917" ZK316 [43C6CC] has just declared an IFE (squawk 7700) and has turned back.....looks to be routing direct for Coningsby.

13.06Z "RRR9102" Voyager ZZ335 [43C6F8] airborne from Brize Norton, heading NW over central Wales to pick up the 2nd wave of 4 Typhoons from Lossiemouth.
13.36Z Now Southbound at FL260 heading towards Llanelli and then > GITUS > TAKAS.........chicks "ASCOT9515/6/7/8" are not plotting. 13.40Z Passing over the Mumbles. 14.02Z Passing over the Scilly Isles, routing > TAKAS.

As noted in today's Mil Movements thread, "RRR9513" replacement Typhoon ZK311 went out to Lajes AB, Azores this morning.
It was accompanied part way by "RRR9103" Voyager ZZ330, which returned to Brize later today.
The first wave has arrived at Eglin AFB, FL early this evening after proceeding from Lajes to Bermuda yesterday. The second wave will shortly arrive in Bermuda (as at 19.19Z)

As at 21.10Z - 7 Typhoons have departed Eglin AFB not long ago and are now on their final leg to Nellis AFB, NV
