A really foul day, with gale force winds and very cold, so I didn't hang around for long. The visit was more a question of "who can help please?" as there were Harriers and Sea Kings parked across the field, plus two "F-35's" although the general opinion is that they may be mock ups? These are the only shots I took, there's the Merlin coded "M", Sea King coded "32", and Harriers coded "92", "02" and "003" plus ZB603. Two Hawks departed while I was there, XX303 & XX330 IMG_4580 by Graham Brown, on Flickr IMG_4582 by Graham Brown, on Flickr IMG_4588 by Graham Brown, on Flickr

yes, the F.35s are mock-ups I'm afraid!

Beat me to it,zz
Really must get down there sometime. It is one of the very few 70s/80s RAF/RN stations that I never visited. The only other one left now is Valley.

Thanks chaps, much appreciated. Needed the Sea King and three of the four Harriers (didn't need ZB603). One thing I forgot to mention was that there was a Sea King parked just inside the perimeter fence on the left as you come across the first roundabout by the station from Helston. I was in a line of traffic so couldn't stop plus there was road works there too so I went back to Falmouth through the lanes. Any ideas at all please?
EDIT - the tailless Harrier is wearing code 003, any clues for that one?

A typo on zz's part. The Tail-less SHAR "003" is ZH804.
The Preserved Sea King is XV673/27.

the F.35's are mock-ups built by Gateguards (UK) Ltd at Newquay, I am friends on facebook with a guy who works there and he recently posted some photos of them on a lowloader ready for transporting to Culdrose

Not counting a visit in the late 70s when I was about 4! I did a few Culdrose shows in the 90s and 00s plus a combined Predannack and Culdrose tour once. Not much I need there now, just a couple of Merlins and a King Air, but I try and call by if holidaying down that way!
