Hi again,
Plan today was to have a quick look in again at Fort Myers, then on to Naples before crossing via the Everglades to Fort Lauderdale where we would be based for the rest of the trip.
A quick look at Fort Myers added two more N reg biz and the UPS B757 had changed also with N421UP now sat in cargo also a Delta CRJ N306PQ was noted.
Next stop was Naples, now when Geoff and I lasted visited in December 2013 it was getting dark and we felt that we didn't do it justice so the plan was to visit the main biz jet parking area and then do a clockwise tour before heading to Fort Lauderdale, this all changed when we reached the end of runway 5 and discovered that they had an elevated observation area complete with ATC piped in,My mate Geoff is a photographer first and a reggie collector second and as they were landing/departing on this runway all day and the weather was superb we decided to stay here until approx 4pm before heading off to Fort Lauderdale.A total of 68 biz were logged during the day with 65 of them being N reg,the three others were:
C-GLCB Global Express 5000 M-CHEM Falcon 2000LX VP-BWB Global Express 5000
Also 3 non N reg twins were seen:
HC-BUD Rockwell Commander 690C YV2045 SA.227TT Merlin IIIC YV2126 Rockwell Commander 690A
I don't collect N reg "tin" etc when I'm in the States but do collect things like homebuilts, warbirds etc,etc and three aircraft were logged:
N101PZ Giles G.202 (looks like and Extra) N644M Short Skyvan N960CT Flight Design CTLS
We then made our way across to Fort Lauderdale via "Alligator Alley" it's just a shame that we didn't see a single alligator.
Part 4 to follow.
