Is the below just guess work or valid, if valid when are the F15s likely to come? I have a vested interest as im up there for a couple of days next week 😊

Jeff,
I know that they are due in Leeuwarden for Frisian Flag (starts 27th), but I know nothing definite, so have refrained from saying anything as yet.
Scramble have inserted that entry on the basis of a rumour - from the UK apparently.
However, other Scramble contributors have pointed out that arrival at Lakenheath on Saturday 18th fits in very nicely with the support flights on today (C-17A 10-0220), Thursday, Friday & Monday - corresponding with last year. This would mean that they would then move on to Leeuwarden on Monday 20th.
After Frisian Flag, these will move on into Europe for the TSP. Not certain as to whether it will last 6 months like last year as there is a rumour that it might only be for three months. Another unknown is whether all 12 will come in. Last year 4 of them went to Keflavik for a month in the Icelandic airspace protection role and missed Lakenheath & Leeuwarden out completely.
That is all I know at present. Obviously, I will update when more info becomes available.
At the moment I am making tentative plans to be up at Mildenhall/Lakenheath for this weekend and I did drop a hint yesterday in the "March 2017" thread.
Cheers,
Bob

Scramble have now posted that 2 batches of 6 F-15C/D are due into Leeuwarden on Tuesday 21st March.
They are coming direct from the USA - so no stop at Lakenheath.
