Italian government have stated that this 'news' is completely fabricated and is just a rumour put out because the company has a new CEO. Cheers Mark

I find it very hard to believe that the Italian Govt could break up & sell Leonardo /Finnmecannica when it is a private company and not Government owned. What the shareholders think of this & what news like this would do to the share price I cannot contemplate.

It is state controlled Graham. This from Defence News: The Italian government on Saturday named a veteran Italian banker, Alessandro Profumo, to run state controlled defense group Leonardo, replacing CEO Mauro Moretti who had finished his three year mandate.
It is this appointment that led to the false reporting of the break up
Cheers Mark
