ZM412 went right over our house here in Devizes. I was putting some washing on the line and was too late to grab the camera for what would have been a decent shot

Well pleased that the Travis-based C-5M 87-0042 (unusually) came this way out of Lakenheath. They usually go North.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Was out most of the day, but managed to make 4 LHR out bounds, F-HRBA 789 Air France (at last) and this evening a brace of Korean HL8076 77F and HL7630 748, also B-7349 773 China Eastern. Have now seen 5 of the 6 to visit so far, but only as strobes, would be nice to see one in daylight!

Ollie, it routed Lakenheath > BKY > BPK > OTT Abingdon (@17.35) > OTT Dursley (@17.41) > BCN > SWANY and out. A very unusual routing.
It was not trailing (at FL360) and I saw it with binoculars OTT Dursley only because I know where to look - clouds in the way before that.

Two more have entered the book in between the ironing- D-APGS- A319 heading east N116SF- Glex heading south Both trailing- one missed though needed Singapore A350 9V-SMG out of Manchester flew out of sight avoiding the patch of blue all the other departing westbound aircraft had flown through on the climb out of Manchester- never mind it will come again. Well off to make the bed now. Happy Spotting Bob Bob You obviously get the same stuff over you as me. Saw D-APGS going west this morning but wasn't needed. Missed the GLEX but been out sadly. My total today has added HZ-ARE B787 MAN-JED Maybe get one or two more this afternoon between watching my joke of a team (Arsenal) Cheers Mike B

Excellent day, due a 350 mile round trip to Mildenhall and Lakenheath. I used to go to Mildenhall fairly regularly, but not been for a few years now, so found it very profitable even with a few bits still to find out. Made at least 5 based C.130s, 5 KC.135s with one visitor to find out , and at least one KC.10 ( 2 if the other was 86-0032). The only disappointment was the Ospreys- 4 outside- only 1 read off as it departed, and not needed.
Then onto Lakenheath for the 5 Saudi Eagles. Great to see these as I missed all the other deliveries. Didn't see any of my 4 based Eagles that I need.
Decided to visit Hadleigh where a needed Jet Provost and Scout were among 6 aircraft at a paintball site. Sadly they've gone! I knew they were to be moved, but hoped I would be in time! You could see the bare ground in the field where the aircraft recently stood!!
Lastly, called past Blackbushe on the way home and made 2-ANLD.
A successful day!

zz,
Your KC-10 was 86-0032 - the other was 79-1711 which is taking the Saudis tomorrow..
Can't help with the CV-22s - apparently there were five out on the dustbowl this morning and 12-0063 was the one that took off. It was out 10.42 - 12.32, hot refuelled and departed again 12.55. The other 4 were 08-0051, 11-0057, 11-0058 and 11-0061.
What was your visitor query?? I can probably resolve it for you.

Bob Hi Bob thanks for confirmation of the KC.10. Two new in a day is fantastic! The KC.135 I was missing was parked by the KC.10s- I didn't note the unit, but know that it wasn't a based one. Shame about the CV.22s but they'll probably be about for a while, and turn up at RIAT. thanks again

Hi zz,
It should be 61-0315 of 6 AMW (MacDill). The other visitor (60-0322 - 434ARW Grissom) parks near John's Field.
Wish I could make that many in one day at the 'Hall. Been up twice this year and only made two on both occasions.

Thanks again Bob
I saw and read off the Grissom 135, so the MacDill machine was probably the one. Not needed, but never mind! Yes a very successful visit- a catch up for me after about 4 years, so I saw most of the based 130s and 135s I needed.
Cheers

Well, I did ask for some good stuff....
French KC-135 574 going home after doing an approach at Cardiff and USMC KC-130J 166514 on its way into Mildenhall.
Couldn't manage to make any of the 3 C-17s I saw, though.

And that was the lot.
Maybe tomorrow will allow me 1 or 2?
