This blog covers Friday 13th.
With the Miami Boat Show in full swing and with the President's Day Bank Holiday Monday coming up and also with it being a Friday it was time to do West Palm Beach again.
First stop was at Fort Lauderdale Executive where 42 biz entered the log book however all were N reg although the following non N reg were seen:
C-FBSZ Cessna TU.206D
C6-ICL PA-23 Aztec 250
YV1753 Cessna 441
Next stop was Pompano Beach where I only wrote down 3 aircraft:
C-GGKC PA-46 Malibu 350P
N112EM Astra
N87TH Falcon 10
Next stop was Boca Raton and I have to say that in all of my previous visits this was the busiest I've ever seen it,again spotted from the Florida Atlantic University car park and 46 biz entered the log book including 3 new non N reg examples:
C-FLIX Phenom 100
C-GLRP Lear Jet 40
C-GWQR Challenger 605
The same two YV- aircraft that we saw the previous Friday were still in,sod's law that the one we couldn't get then was nowhere to be seen.
Next and final stop of the day was West Palm Beach,as they were landing towards the ocean today we decided not to go to the top of the MSCP but to spot from the Hilton Hotel's car park, this is clearly signposted from Interstate 95,just head for the far corner near the runway and park near to a mobile car washing operation, they will keep an eye on your car for you although we could easily see it from where we spotted.Because of this location and not going onto the MSCP the log was down compared to the previous Friday but I still logged 114 biz with the following non N reg examples being observed:
C-FRST Citation 550
G-KTIA 125-900XP (Farnborough,Luton and now West Palm Beach)
OB-1703 Astra (Pot of the day)
XA-CHK 125-800XP (pretty sure we have seen this at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood)
Also seen was C6-MIP a King Air 200.
Part 13 to follow.
