I've always used Photobucket to upload pictures to AFA but not only have they suddenly announced that this uploading facility is now only available if you pay an annual $400 subscription but they have also retrospectively blocked the ability to view all pictures previously uploaded to AFA from P'bucket (e.g. my Paris flypast shots from yesterday). I would therefore appreciate advice from those who use alternative methods of doing this as to the best way for me now to continue to post photos here.
Many thanks in advance - Dave

Dave,
I'm not into photography, but most of the members of FighterControl use Flickr as, I believe, that they have had problems with Photobucket in the past. You might like to give this some thought.
Cheers,
Bob

Go for flickr Dave, 1 terabyte of free storage, if you don't go for the pro option, and it's not as expensive as photobucket if you do sign up, and it's easy to use.

I have had a PRO Flickr account for years Dave, very easy to use once you've got the hang of it and as Paul has said, a massive 1Tb of free storage. That is such a massive amount of space that I don't even downsize my photos prior to uploading them. I have almost 17,000 shots on Flickr and I've used slightly over 4% of my allowance.

Thanks guys. I think I've finally got the hang of Flickr just before losing the will to live. This is a test to see if really have and to check the right size. Dave I had to change over this weekend to Flickr due to my Photobucket pics disappearing. I found Graham's post on this site dated 29th Jan 2015 very helpful. Thanks to Graham post I have put my photos on the AFA site using Flickr for last week's visits 5th to 7th July 2017 to Cardiff, St.Athan, Abergavenny, Staverton, Kemble, Shennington and Birmingham. I've now apparently got 10 days before my Photobucket account (and its 7000+ photos) is closed down. So, thanks to Graham's tutorial (Jan 2015), I've opened a Flickr account, and had a quick try to see how easy it easy to upload to AFA from there.
Now to get to work on limiting the number of "blank" pictures on this site, caused by my old pics...

Hi ZZ, just remember to ensure that "BB Code" is selected on the Flickr share screen as this is the only code that AFA will accept ( or any Proboards forum for that matter). I'm no expert for sure but if you get stuck, give me a shout and I just might know the answer.

Thanks Graham, will do!
I've found a relatively quick way of saving each image that I've posted on AFA, onto my phone. Then I can quickly upload that onto Flickr.
So, when my photobucket account gets closed, I will have a lot of my photos ready to be re-posted from Flickr! This may not be the best way of doing it, but its not too long-winded!
I do have most of my original shots saved on my PC or memory sticks, but they are the un-edited and un-sorted versions, which is why I don't want to lose the photobucket versions!
cheers

The auto upload from phone to flikr is a great option both in terms of backing up all your phone photos and saving space on it. I just wish I could work Out how to upload photos from the phone flikr app Into the forum 🤔
