The 5th and final Phenom for the RAF PR-LTJ reached Prestwick this lunchtime, for onward flight to Cranwell after night stop. It will (eventually) become ZM337 - which serial was visible under peeling tape......credit FC.
So the situation now is:-
c/n 50000375 currently G-MEPT (ex PR-PHK).....will become ZM333 c/n 50000377 currently G-MEPS (ex PR-ING).....will become ZM334 c/n 50000380 currently G-CJXH (ex PR-LTE).....will become ZM335
c/n 50000384 currently G-CKCU (ex PR-LTF).....will become ZM336
c/n 50000386 currently G-CKEF (ex PR-LTJ).....will become ZM337
All are currently (11/02/2018) wearing civilian registrations.

Thanks for this Bob - very interesting.
Do I take it that the final RAF King Airs will now be stood down?
Cheers

Thanks Bob
I would still like to see 2 of those King Airs though I have a hunch I may have seen them in their RAF civvy guise - I must check as G-ROWN is now on the US register.
Surprised about the Alphas - I've seen all the flyers but not those used as spares - even in their Luftwaffe days.
Any idea if QuinetiQ will/have brought in a replacement type?

Isn't this what the PC-21s are for? Could be wrong though.
PC-21 c/ns 310 and 311 were seen at Stans/Buochs on 7th December 2017 wearing G-ETPA and G-ETPB. Neither registration is yet on G-INFO.

You are correct Bob, that is exactly what the PC21 is replacing, Alphas and Hawks Cheers Mark

As far as I'm aware, once the older aircraft are retired, the rest of the fleet is all going civil but that could change I guess Mark

Unless the two Grob G120TPs G-ETPC/D have got first claim to those. That is if they do put them onto the military register at all.

Apparently, the Phenoms will work alongside the King Airs for a year or two before the Phenoms take full charge of the ME training.

PR-LTJ has been taken on the UK register as G-CKEF.
