Then onto Cranwell for the morning visit. I wasn't expecting to make anything here, but fortunately there was a Prefect sat outside-

There were also 7 Grob Tutors but as they were all G-BY, and my last 3 are all Glasgow-based G-CG.. ones, I didn't pay too much attention!

Next up was Waddington, hoping to see the RAF Rivet Joints. Disappointingly, the only one there was the only one I had seen before! The only thing made here was the Heli-med!

XM607 Vulcan ZH102 Sentry ZH104 Sentry ZH106 Sentry ZZ664 Rivet Joint G-HMDX MD.902 Explorer G-LBSB King Air
Also out were 2 Sentinels which I couldn't read, but don't need anyway, plus another Sentry in a special scheme for 100 years of 54squadton.

Then it was over to Tattershall Thorpe to try and see one of my last seven Whirlwinds. This was my second attempt to see it, and fortunately successful this time.

XP329 /V Whirlwind
There was another next to it, probably XJ407, but don't need any others there.

Then back past Cranwell again to see if anything different was outside. Success, again...

Then Barkston Heath again, to see if there were any different Prefects outside. Again, success- ZM301 was now outside and ZM305 had made the short hop from Cranwell. There were two more visible in the hangar but with something in front of them, so not readable.
Barkston Heath 18/08/17 pm
ZM300 ZM301 ZM305 ZM308 G-AZLV Cessna
Then called past Syerston, but the weather was turning bad and nothing was out. This was a shame as a Grob Viking that I need had been showing on FR24 earlier in the day. That was the end of the military fields, but called in Leicester and Husbands Bosworth in the evening.
