I attended Sandown today for the annual " Spamfield " event, and with camera in hand, here are some shots from today... Lovely shots Chris, thank you. There certainly appears to be a lot more plastic hangars than I remember from my one and only visit to Sandown about 3 or 4 years ago

Lovely shots Chris, thank you. There certainly appears to be a lot more plastic hangars than I remember from my one and only visit to Sandown about 3 or 4 years ago As I mentioned in another thread my son & I really enjoyed taking the Cessna to Sandown a couple of weeks ago. Very warm welcome and a nice little cafe (and a landing charge one third of that at Shoreham where we had stopped en route!!). On turning over the field we noticed a further hangar near the 23 end in the grounds of what appeared to be a private house. (The tower and main hangar area are off to the left of my picture) The aircraft shown outside was seen appropriately to be G-IOWE but the hangar is clearly large enough for more and Google Earth shows 3 aircraft outside on the day it was taken.
