06:45 - thick fog :-( C-130s noted by crash gate ZH878, ZH883, ZH888
08:30 - fog lifted :-)
Voyagers on ramp ZZ330, ZZ335, ZZ337, ZZ343 plus at least one more in the hanger
A400Ms on ramp ZM405, ZM407, ZM413, ZM415, plus ZM410 outside maintenance hanger
The Turkmenistan IL-76 was parked in an awkward position so I could not read it off.
Both Canadian Skyvans and Do.228 present. Along with the US 757 98-6006, which had 12 windows in the front section starboard side. Does this make it c/n 29304???
A quick divert to Fairford due to lack of visibility at Brize brought
B-1B 85-0087, 86-0124 both coded DY B-52H 60-0003 coded BD U-2 80-1083 complete with Senior Span pod departed callsign QID09
The back to Brize hoping the fog had lifted.
Cheers
Bob

Hi Bob,
The Turkmen IL-76 is EZ-F426 (again).
There is a very high probability that 98-6006 is, in reality, L-3/Comco's N610G (c/n 29304) in disguise.
I won't say 100% probability because the status of N144DC (c/n 22191) is unknown (especially its current window count)
Cheers,
Bob

It depends on where you look
- according to planebase 29304 has 12 windows at the front, 25491 has 13. (EDIT - I got these the wrong way around, now corrected 29304 - 12 windows) - Scramble has 25493 and - Joe Baughers site has 25494 !!!
I had seen most as civil but I do need one of those. It would be nice to confirm which one it is but I doubt we will ever know. Those that get on board will be bound by certain acts so even if they do find out will not be allowed to tell anyone.

Hi Tarnish,
If you read forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=66419&start=90 from the 1st post on page 7 by "n5205e00421" through to the end of the thread, you will see that c/ns 25493 and 25494 "must" be 00-9001 and 02-4452.
The latest post on page 10 (from yesterday) about the scuff plate door sills is very interesting. Photos of the possible 5th airframe in the equation - N144DC (c/n 22191) - in its earlier guises of Eastern's N501EA and NASA's N557NA, show that it then had the large scuff plate. I would imagine that there is no reason to suspect that it has not got it now.
That means that only one of the five airframes has got the small scuff plate - N610G c/n 29304 - and that one is at Brize Norton at the moment.
Cheers,
Bob
