Now most of the leaves have fallen from my neighbour’s large beech tree I get a much better view of LHR 27 departures, and despite low cloud got a clear view of needed A350s HL8078 Asiana and 3B-NBP Mauritius. Earlier made gap-filler TC-JVJ 738 on the TK1967 IST-DUB and locally-flying EC155 G-TBUC.

Just a couple picked up running through BHX today, nothing to be seen OTT and too windy for local flying.

Lovely weather until early afternoon - and, naturally, it is a US Public Holiday today (Thanksgiving Day)....LOL.
Nevertheless, I saw 2 x not needed C-5Ms (Westbound 85-0002 and Eastbound 86-0025) and I managed to make a C-17A 01-0186.

Not a bad day Deke! You lucky bugger Bob, was up at hospital so missed the C-17, irritating to say the least!

Caught up with a couple of recent deliveries, EI-FYC 738MAX Norwegian and F-HEPJ 320 Air France, plus biz D-CZZZ C.560 and N666FH Gulf 650.
A400M ZM415 made an impressive noise as it went overhead at 7,000ft, inbound NHT?

Yes, Jerry, it went into Northolt, then down to Exeter - all as "RRR4666". It then returned to Brize Norton as "RRR4667".

Two for me today, hoping for something over the weekend, weather is looking excellent so we can but hope!

Do need the Squirrel (my last AAC one), Ollie.
However, I made "SKUA1" Wildcat ZZ534 in company with another one unidentified (both came back an hour later) and didn't need "SKUA311" Wildcat ZZ375 (came back 2 hours later).
I've just made "VV100" US Navy C-37B 166376 routing MID - NUMPO directly over the top. Couldn't see (and didn't need) "RCH110" C-17A 06-6167 on the usual SW routing a few minutes before.

Having missed it at Fairford (by going on the Saturday), I finally caught up with C-17A 07-7172 - which is my last 60AMW Travis-based C-17A. It was operating "RCH595".
My last 436AW Dover-based C-5M 85-0003 was also due out of Ramstein today, but failed to make it. Gone "tech", I suppose. Let's hope it makes it out before the cloud sets in tomorrow.

Nothing for me today sadly, caught a Voyager (ZZ333) & C-17A (07-7172) but didn't need either of them. As Bob said, hoping for the C-5M tomorrow!

Blue skies today but no trails, stuff difficult to spot. Just 4 frames for me, HB-JJF 763 Eurowings DUS-CUN (slack!), EI-GDK 738 Ryanair inbound STN from Rabat, TC-YYA GLEX heading WNW at FL430 and G-HPIN Bell 429 local flights.

Just the one for me today:
86-0016 C-5M USAF- Just about visible through some light cloud, trailing nicely.

For me, the same one as Ollie - Eastbound Travis-based 60AMW C-5M 86-0016 routing OTT Bristol > CPT > OTT Felixstowe. However, the difference of being about 6 miles SW of him made all the difference as the cloud was thinner and the aircraft was easily visible lit up by the sun.
No sign of the particular one in Ramstein that I am after - definitely must have gone "tech".
It has been a bit of a C-5M day today with a total of 4 going over the UK, but two of these were SE-bound from over Kintyre to the Lincolnshire coast.

Yes, I made 86-0016 also, a treat for me as they rarely take this southern route. Blue skies and good trails enabled me to catch up with some fairly recent deliveries, 789s N830AN American AA48 IAH-CDG and C-FSBV Air Canada AC844 YYZ-FRA plus G-JZBD 738 Jet2. Also TC-JZH 738 Turkish heading for BHX, now only need TC-JVU, M-LCFC BBJ out of FAB and N906G BD300 WNW at FL400.

The good weather failed to materialise hereabouts, so nothing to show for yesterday, but a few bits and pieces picked up today, the Rans a local flyer, and the others all after dark during some clear spells.

And it rattled the windows over Melksham, too.
Anyway, two for me today.
"RCH409" C-17A 05-5141 (definitely this one of the two that use hex AE1455) went SW across a nice little bit of blue just before the clouds ruined the chances of seeing any more "RCH" flights coming my way. There weren't any more as it happens.....LOL.
"LIFTER01" Chinook HC.6 ZK552 came over not long ago, heading East going like Meatloaf's famous LP(s).
Good looking next few days, so fingers crossed!

Bob
Did your C17 pass north of Chippenham trailing E-W at 1125 by any chance? I ask this as I only have PF on my mobile and there was no obvious civil traffic at that time
Cheers

Sorry Keith, but it came from OTT RAF Marham (at 1027) passing just N of Cirencester and was OTT Bristol at about 1045 heading South West towards the North Devon coast.

Almost identical to yesterday, as in one local flyer (the Grob), and a few in clear spells after dark, handy fillers but nothing especially noteworthy.
