Don't I wish one of those would come into Farnborough again. I haven't seen one since 1988, when one came in with a spare engine for the IL-86 that was at that year's airshow.

If I remember the engine was for the A124 Ruslan and when it arrived it landed with one set of wheels on the grass destroying some lights.I had flown down on one of the RAE PA-31's from RAE Bedford the next day and when the AN-22 asked to do a low flyby on departure they were told NO !!!!!

Thanks for the heads up about this one Jeff. I managed to get to see it, photo's when I can sort them out. I was standing on the AVP mound, obviously right next to Pivate Pile.

I wasn't at Farnborough 1988, but I assume that the video shows this infamous landing.

Thganks for the FAB video. Believe it or not, that's the first time that I've seen it's arrival. When I arrived at Farnboroughon that 1988 day, having been at Blackbushe beforehand, The Antonov had arrived and parked up.
